OCR Terminal is a leading provider of digitization solutions online. We are growing quickly and are constantly on the look-out for good people.

OCR Terminal needs software engineers interested in creating solid, stable, and scalable systems to manage both the web-based Linux front-end and the Windows-based OCR engine backend. Perl is our primary development language; training will be provided, but experience with open-source programming languages and tools such as Ruby or Python will be helpful. We use open-source software, including the Apache web server, PostgreSQL database server and the Debian GNU/Linux operating system, so experience with any of these tools will be helpful.

Our goal is create a maintainable, low-cost, high-performance web-based service which will compare favourably with the best web services as well as the leading desktop OCR tools.
